I've received the following error when HP Precision Scan Pro was used: "ActiveX component can't create object: 'Chassis.ChassisHelpObject'".

The software requires Administrator launching the first time after it's installed. Go to Start > Control Panel and remove the software through the Uninstall a Program or access its uninstaller directly if you know where it is (typically in Program Files). Remove the software completely, reboot the PC and then start the installation, but this time, right click the package and choose Run As Administrator. Complete the installation procedure, and launch the software when it's finished just like you previously did and it will start normally.
I had this for a few years now and all of a sudden the computer tells me it can't find out PrecisionScan Pro 3.1. I have reinstalled the program and checked all the connections and nothing has changed. What can I do now?

In this case, you should probably try to re-install the driver for your scanner. You can find the driver on the CD that came with it, on the official web-page of the producer or you can try to use Google.
